What To Say

What could I say?  Overwhelmed, overworked, overstretched.... too much to do, not enough time.  The same story of my life, but I am not handling it as well these days.  I'm choosing to avoid things or drop them completely.  Some days it is in favor of being outside, working, landscaping, feeding random farm (I said it) animals.  Some days it is in favor of being lazy and doing nothing worthwhile.  I'm climbing mountains of laundry and swimming in lakes of dishwater.  Some days I wish that I had all the time in the world to blog and read and be online.  Other days I avoid it, dread it, don't even turn on the computer. There are more reviews on their way...  The pstyle rocks, I'm a Softcup convert, and I have some great looking books waiting to be read. I just won a cute art block from an Etsy shop, and I want to write a thank you blog about that. Runs need recapped, cakes need uploaded, there are many drafts waiting to be primped up for posting... but I just haven&

To begin with, I have to admit that I had never heard of Bob Goff before.  The only reason I requested this book was because the foreword was by Donald Miller.  I've read Don's books and totally loved them.  So, I figured, if he would write a foreword for Bob Goff, then Bob must be a pretty cool writer too.  And I was right.  Bob's book is so honest and real and truly shocking, in a whimsical, unexpected kind of way.  I laughed out loud a lot, and I almost cried a few times.  This is the first book I am going to shamelessly and proudly give away to a friend.  The same friend who introduced me to Donald Miller.  To live a life that is truly motivated by the simple act of doing things out of love... without spending time agonizing over what others would think, about whether or not you can afford it or will be successful because of it, is to live totally at the mercy of God's grace and provision.  Most of us can't fathom it.  I certainly can't.  Or couldn'
